Thank you for your business and your loyalty to the German American Bank team. As a designated essential business in this ever evolving COVID-19 situation, I want to reassure you we remain committed to serving you while taking precautions to protect our employees and our customers. As a husband, father, grandfather, and the leader of the German American team, I realize how much this has affected every part of our lives. I also realize how much you are counting on our financial institution during these times. Here are some steps we’ve taken to continue to serve you.

  • On Saturday, March 21st, we started limiting our lobby access to appointment only with drive up service operating normal business hours. Our team members are able to offer most lobby services through our drive ups. You may see our employees wearing gloves and disinfecting often as we take extra precautions while serving you.
  • Any team members who usually visit our business or personal customers on-site at the customer’s office or home have been instructed to work with customers through phone or other digital communication. This was implemented early last week.
  • We encourage our customers to utilize our secure online and mobile banking tools. If you have questions about these services, our Customer Care Team is available to answer your questions at 800-482-1314. You may also visit our website www.germanamerican.com.
  • Our ATMs remain open and continue to operate 24/7. Our customers also have fee free access to over 55,000 ATMs in the Allpoint ATM network.
  • We continue to adjust how our team works. Many of our team members are working remotely and many have changed office locations to afford more social distancing.

I am so proud of the flexibility and dedication your German American team has shown as we navigate this situation to continue to serve you. As we continue to adapt to the circumstances, we appreciate your patience.
