Wire Transfers

Quickly and easily send and/or receive money with wire transfers. Funds are securely moved using an electronic payment service from one person or business to another, in the US and around the world.

Benefits of using a wire transfer include:

  • Funds will typically arrive quicker than when using other methods of sending or receiving money
  • Domestic wires (those sent within the US) generally arrive at the recipient bank on the same business day, if sent by the cut-off time of 3 PM Central Time / 4 PM Eastern Time on bank business days
  • International wires (those sent outside the US) generally arrive at the recipient bank within 2-5 business days, if sent by the cut-off time of 3 PM Central Time / 4 PM Eastern Time on bank business days
  • Wire transfers will be debited directly from or deposited directly to your German American checking or savings account
