German American Announces that Brent Sternberg Earns Advanced Banking Degree

German American is proud to announce that Brent Sternberg, Regional President and Senior Vice President Wealth Management, recently graduated from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He was recognized on June 12 with a Stonier diploma and Wharton leadership certificate.

“Stonier has given me an opportunity to learn from the best minds in the financial services industry as well as the chance to exchange ideas with my peers from across the country,” said Sternberg.

Stonier’s three-year intensive education program provides curriculum covering a variety of topics including capital planning, enterprise risk management, marketing strategy and technology and innovation. The program culminates with a capstone strategic project, where students develop comprehensive business projects for their financial institutions. Over the past 85 years, Stonier has trained over 20,000 of the nation’s top banking executives and government regulators.

“Brent Sternberg is a key member of our leadership team. This diploma is a testament to Brent’s drive to learn and his commitment to the overall success of German American,” said Mark Schroeder, German American Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We’re excited about Brent’s growth and what that means for our customers and community.”

Brent is a graduate of University of Evansville and has worked in the Financial Services Industry since 1997. In his current role with German American, he leads the Wealth Management division, along with the banking team serving Dubois, Spencer, and Perry Counties. Brent is a member of the University of Evansville Board of Trustees,Catholic Foundation of Southwestern Indiana Board of Directors, Tri-County YMCA Board of Directors, St. Joseph Catholic Church Finance Committee, Radius Indiana Board of Directors, and serves on the Dubois County Community Foundation’s Investment Committee and as an Emeritus Board Member.
