German American Bank has announced it will serve as title sponsor of this year’s Shelbyville Horse Show held August 3rd through the 6th at the Shelby County Fairgrounds. The event brings the best from local horse farms and exhibitors across the region to compete in the American Saddlebred Capital of the World. A blend of show and community activities, it has been a Shelby County tradition for over 30 years.
In addition, German American Bank will be a sponsor of the Horseman’s Club Charity Gala, making its return after a two-year hiatus. The Gala is held in conjunction with the Horse Show and was made possible through the combined efforts of city and county leaders and Shelby County equine therapy non-profit, HorseSensing. Proceeds from the Gala will help HorseSensing to provide equine therapy programs for veterans and people in recovery from addiction.
“When we learned that the Shelbyville Horse Show and events surrounding it were making a return this year, we were excited to play a part in keeping the tradition alive,” states Chris Dew, German American Market President. “The partnership between our local leaders and HorseSensing showcases Shelby County’s history and culture while benefitting an outstanding cause. That is something we are proud to support. ”
